Another one of my pescatarian creations! Â Ok, this isn’t super-creative (just salmon with a few seasonings, sauces, and onions) but it is something that helped satisfy my craving a bit for something with barbecue sauce on it. Â So while trying to decide what protein I was going to have for dinner (I already had a protein smoothie for breakfast and quinoa, which is a plant-based protein, for lunch) I saw that I had one more salmon fillet left in the freezer. Â Salmon…barbecue sauce…honey…seasonings…veggies on the side….DINNER! Â Check out the recipe below.
I actually added about another teaspoon of barbecue sauce to the top of my fillet when it was almost done (I was REALLY craving that barbecue taste) so that’s why it looks a bit more saucy in the main picture. Â I don’t eat barbecue sauce too often because of the high fructose corn syrup that many of them contain (which is pretty bad if you’re trying to eat healthy) but as always I try to enjoy in moderation. Â There are barbecue sauces that do not contain high fructose corn syrup so I try to get those as much as possible. Â But actually I think my next adventure in the kitchen may be to make my own barbecue sauce 🙂 Â If I do I’ll be sure to post the recipe here so stay tuned!
